Eat, drink and be merry at Octoberfeast in Lewes
Lewes is running a food and drink festival from October 1st-10th and the Pelham House Hotel will be taking part.
Throughout October we are opening our doors to everyone interested in sampling the best that Sussex has to offer with food and drink. We are also giving you an opportunity to have a good snoop around our interesting house and view the ever changing art work.
Every Thursday in October at 7pm we are going to offer a free historic tour of Pelham House. You will be able to find out about the history behind this lovely building. You will also get the chance to talk about the artist currently exhibiting with us. Why not book a table and stay for dinner afterwards.
As part of Octoberfeast we will be launching our new winter menu, focusing on simple and delicious food, using locally- sourced produce from suppliers from local estates and fisheries throughout Kent & Sussex, at a fair price.
Our varied and constantly-changing menu is the creation of our head chef Glenn Lester. The restaurant is set in two of the most historic rooms of the house - the Panelled Room and the Garden Room, with beautiful views over our gardens onto the South Downs.
The restaurant is open to everyone, every day, for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
Guests booking a table in our restaurant in October will be offered a complimentary glass of Award Winning Breaky Bottom Sparkling Wine from Rodmell. Just mention Octoberfeast at the time of booking. Guests must order a three course meal.
Accompanying our Best of Sussex menu, for October only, we will offer a Best of Sussex wine list, with information about the vineyard.
Finally we are going to host a charity wine tasting event in conjunction with Henry Butlers Wine Cellar, on the October 22nd, which will be served along with local cheeses. 10% of proceeds will go to the Sussex based Rockinghorse charity.
